And the Winners of the #PlasticsIOA Competition Are…
April 1st marked the launch of the Plastics in Outdoor Architecture competition in partnership with American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS). We asked students to post original, interesting photos of plastic application in outdoor architecture, along with other criteria.
The Winners Are Chosen
Three winners will receive a bag full of resourceful yet fun swag from VI and AIAS. The winners were announced via @MaterialforLife’s Instagram account.
The Winners’ Submissions
@paooomendoza submitted a photo taken in Manhattan’s Chinatown. It features two types of plastic applications: polycarbonate signs and vinyl tarp canopies.
@claydaher submitted a photo taken by water. It showcased plastic Adirondack chairs alongside a beautiful sunset.
@cory_skillman submitted an interesting take on plastic in architecture. He showed plastic applications on a construction site, including: cones, barricade tape, and other plastic barricades.
VI and AIAS want to thank you everyone for submitting to the Plastics in Outdoor Architecture competition, and we would like to congratulate all of the winners.
