Congress Passes America’s Water Infrastructure Act of 2018
On October 12, Congress passed the most comprehensive infrastructure legislation of the 115thCongress. America’s Water Infrastructure Act of 2018 authorizes $6 billion over two years for water infrastructure and conservation projects in U.S. ports, harbors, and waterways. The legislation also includes two new provisions of key interest to the PVC/vinyl industry, including requiring the Army Corps of Engineer to develop a report on the use of innovating materials in water projects, and the encouraging the use of asset management plans to improve the use of taxpayer resources.
