Help Make Vinyl360 a Certified Waste Diversion from Landfill Event
The 2017 Vinyl360 Annual Conference is next week, November 8-10. This year, the Vinyl Business and Sustainability Council (VBSC) is taking steps toward achieving GreenCircle Certified, LLC’s waste diversion from landfill goals at the conference.
The VBSC is engaging a third-party certification body, GreenCircle Certified, LLC, to certify our waste diversion efforts. Waste Diversion from Landfill certification demonstrates the VBSC’s commitment to the responsible management of end-of-life materials. GreenCircle Certified, LLC will assess our waste diversion efforts, in order to independently certify our rates and support our waste diversion goals.
Your Role in Achieving Waster Diversion from Landfill Goals
The VBSC has worked to identify all waste streams, recycling options, and opportunities to eliminate disposable items where possible. Our initiatives have ensured that the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Spa and Resort and food vendors produce as little waste as possible. It is, however, you who can best help us to achieve our waste diversion goals.
To support these efforts:
- Choose reusable options if possible.
- Locate the proper receptacles from disposable items, and follow signage and instructions.
- Take only the items that you will use.
