The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) just kicked off its 2017 State of Manufacturing Tour. Bill Carteaux, Plastics Industry Association will be among the Council of Manufacturing Association leaders participating in the tour, which will visit six states before it wraps up on March 1.
This year’s tour, designed to showcase what modern manufacturing is all about, will visit a range of venues, including high-tech factory floors, breweries, classrooms, and automakers.
NAM also has created a new digital series called Creators Wanted that tells the story of modern manufacturing careers. NAM’s research shows that when parents, teachers and kids see that modern manufacturing is about creativity, teamwork, technology, diverse career paths, great wages and secure futures, then a career in manufacturing is much more attractive.
