Vinyl Institute National Advertising Campaign

By | March 2025

At the Vinyl Institute, we prioritize accurate information. To educate and combat misinformation, we have launched a nationwide ad campaign focusing on important topics related to vinyl. Our first advertisement highlights why many municipalities are transitioning their water infrastructure to PVC (polyvinyl chloride) pipes.

The reasons for this shift are straightforward. PVC pipes are safe and meet stringent testing standards set by various regulatory agencies, including the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF). They are durable, long-lasting, and experience less water leakage compared to other types of pipes. Because of their durability and smooth interiors, PVC pipes also save taxpayers money. Additionally, studies, such as a life cycle assessment conducted by Sustainable Solutions Corporation, indicate that PVC pipes have a lower carbon footprint than other pipe materials.

We aimed to emphasize these key facts in our initial advertisement, and the campaign’s results have been remarkable. The ad has been featured in over 1,000 media outlets nationwide, reaching an audience of more than 113 million people. As the campaign continues, we expect these numbers to grow. Some of the top placements for our advertisement include:

We would encourage you to search for our ad in a publication in your area and please share on your social media.

We are excited about these results and look forward to addressing many important topics in future ads.
