Vinyl Institute Elects Richard Mason as Chairman
WASHINGTON, DC – Nov. 10, 2021 – The Vinyl Institute (VI), is pleased to announce Richard (Dick) Mason, Adviser to the President of Shintech, Inc., today was elected 2022 VI Chairman at the association’s annual meeting, Vinyl360.
“We are pleased to welcome Dick as our incoming chair,” said Ned Monroe, VI President/CEO. “Our membership recognizes the critical role that Dick will have in leading and advancing the vinyl industry. He will assist in legislative and regulatory policy positions that will not only grow the PVC industry but also protect our product reputation and ensure the continued implementation of our strategic priorities.”
In this role, Mr. Mason will also lead the VI’s Executive Committee which is comprised of its Company Members with the capacity in the United States to manufacture 1 billion pounds or more of vinyl chloride suspension polymers or copolymers. Mr. Kearns served as Vice Chair in 2021.
