Vinyl Institute Issues Call for Entries for First-Ever “Vinyl Recycler of the Year” Award

WASHINGTON — The Vinyl Institute (VI) is excited to announce it has issued a call for entries for the first-ever “Vinyl Recycler of the Year” Award, to be presented at the association’s annual meeting, Vinyl360.
“We recognize how important sustainability is to our industry,” said Ned Monroe, president and CEO of the Vinyl Institute. “And diverting vinyl products from the landfill is one very important and successful facet within our industry’s larger sustainability journey, which is why we’re excited to be accepting entries for outstanding programs and products that promote vinyl recycling.”
The “Vinyl Recycler of the Year” Award recognizes the efforts of recyclers and product manufacturers with operations in the U.S. that find new solutions and/or markets for post-consumer polyvinyl chloride (PVC) materials, increase use of recycled vinyl content in their products, and/or engage in partnerships with companies in take-back programs.
To be eligible for the Vinyl Recycler of the Year Award, organizations must:
- Be a vinyl recycler or vinyl product manufacturers with operations in the U.S.
- Have implemented their product or program within the last 18 months (Jan. 1, 2018 – June 30, 2019)
The Vinyl Recycler of the Year Award is one of several awards that VI presents each year at Vinyl360, the vinyl industry’s annual conference held in November.
