The “Vinyl Recycler of the Year” Award recognizes the efforts of recyclers and product manufacturers with operations in the U.S. that find new solutions and or markets for PVC waste materials, increase use of recycled vinyl content in their products, and/or engage in partnerships with companies in take-back programs.

The VI is taking award submissions until October 22, 2020.

• Open to all vinyl recyclers and vinyl product manufacturers with operations in the U.S., except companies that employ
  individuals who are a director or officer of the Vinyl Institute or who are involved in selecting winners are not
  eligible to enter.
• The product or program must have been put into practice in the U.S. within the last 18 months (January 1, 2019 – June 30,
  2020).
• Provide the following as applicable:
  • New Product:
  • • Date the product was launched
    • Amount, stated in percentage of unit weight, of recycled content included in the new product
• • New Program:
  • • Date program was implemented
    • Amount, stated in percentage of waste or net weight of material (lb), diverted from landfill as a result of the program.
• Submission must include two or more images in the form or one or more mediums: photos, video, media coverage, webpage links (any digital assets that showcase your efforts) etc. that tell the story about your innovation and its effect on one or more stakeholder group.
• Limit one submission per organization.
• The individual making a submission represents that s/he is authorized to submit the information on the organization’s behalf, and none of the information submitted is proprietary or confidential information. By submitting an entry, the organization grants the Vinyl Institute and the Vinyl Sustainability Council an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide right to use (or not use), edit, reproduce, distribute, and prepare derivative works based on all or any part of the information provided for any purposes (including promotional purposes), including, but not limited to, social media, print ads, white papers, website, web banner ads and submission for external innovations awards on behalf of the vinyl industry. If any individuals are depicted in submission materials, the person making the submission represents that such individuals have consented to the use of their name, image, or likeness for promotional and other purposes.
• Submission Deadline: October 22, 2020, award winners will be notified by or before October 29, 2020 via email to the company contact listed on the form.

The VI reserves the right to not to issue an award, or to issue less than the stated number, if an insufficient number of eligible submissions are received.

A committee will be selected by the Vinyl Institute to review all submitted entries.
